MS Outlook App for iOS/Android "Your device won't be able to synchronize with the server via Exchange ActiveSync because of an access policy defined on the server."

The Microsoft Outlook app for iOS/Android has been purchased by Microsoft and is not allowed to be used at TU Kaiserslautern. The problem is that this app stores the login data and all mailbox contents on servers in the USA in plain text.
Therefore, a filter was set up so that this Microsoft Outlook app for iOS/Android cannot connect to our Exchange email server. Unfortunately, this filter did not work correctly for a while and has now been adjusted again accordingly and updated for security reasons.

Specifically, this means for you:
You would have to switch to another app.
For Samsung devices, for example, the preinstalled mail app from Samsung supports Active Sync and can therefore be used. Unfortunately, we cannot currently give an app recommendation for other manufacturers.

If you have used the Microsoft Outlook app for iOS/Android, you should definitely change your password promptly!
