Backups are created from the system in the form of snapshots.
At
- 08:00
- 12:00
- 16:00
- 20:00
a snapshot is created. 6 versions of these snapshots are stored by our backup system. They are taken on a working day in 3h steps up to 1.5 days in the past.
Furthermore, a daily snapshot is created at 00:00. Data older than 1.5 days can be restored in 1 day steps for 7 days in a row.
After that there are still weekly snapshots every sunday at 00:00 for up to 6 weeks in the past. After that restoring your data is no longer possible.
You can restore the backup yourself. To do this, simply go to the folder of the deleted file, press the right mouse button and select previous versions. There you can see all available snapshots, jump to the desired backup and simply restore the file/folder.
You can find an illustrated Windows manual here: How can I recover folders in the network drive? (German version only, english coming soon.)
